About us.
“Rhondalynn Pisanello is a proud mother of three, grandmother to eight, and a passionate storyteller through song. Growing up overseas, Rhonda was immersed in a kaleidoscope of musical influences, sparking a lifelong love for music. Despite a profound hearing loss that began in her teens, she has embraced music as an essential part of her life, relying on technology to stay connected to the melodies that fuel her soul. With less than 10% of her natural hearing remaining, she hopes with all her heart that technology aids her in hearing something right to the end, for she cannot ever imagine a single day without song.
Her journey as a songwriter began in earnest after an unexpected email in 2014 from Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame inductee, the legendary Ray Griff. Inspired by one of Rhonda’s songs written for her children, Mr. Griff encouraged her to pursue songwriting on a commercial level. Ray’s mentorship guided Rhonda until his passing in 2016, leaving an indelible mark on her creative path.
Rhonda’s dedication has earned her significant recognition. She won first place in the Rock category of the 2023 Great American Song Contest, reached finalist and semi-finalist positions in esteemed competitions like the ISC and UK Songwriting Contest, and is a three-time FACTOR-funded recipient. As an NSAI “Writer to Watch,” her star continues to rise.
Now, Rhonda is expanding her horizons, exploring songwriting for sync opportunities in TV and film. She is an active member of SOCAN, SAC, CMAB, CCMA, and Alberta Music, with a relentless drive to create music that resonates deeply.
With a life steeped in melody and determination, Rhondalynn Pisanello proves that no challenge is too great when the heart beats to the rhythm of a song.”
“One idea may ignite a song, but it takes a team to make it sing” – Rhondalynn Pisanello
